Hunters Pro Gear is dedicated to having professional people with vast knowledge in their respective fields, so we can always receive feedback and provide support to our customers.  We are building our team based on knowledge of particular outdoor sports and the respective equipment necessary to pursue them. Our team will have the experience to answer a customer’s inquiries with an educated reply, no matter what recreation is pursued in the outdoors.  Please read our staff bio's so you can see that we are real people who can personally relate to your outdoor needs.  We will be adding additional profiles of our team as we grow so please check back often.

Hunters Pro Gear Staff:

Jim Lombardi

Hunters Pro Gear was created by Jim Lombardi of Fenton, Michigan.  Jim is 43 years old and has made the outdoors part of his life from the beginning.  A strong family heritage in hunting, skiing and competitive sports has made him what he is today.  He continues to pass this passion to his three children; Austin, Alysa and Nina and his lovely wife, Stacey. Jim is a graduate of Central Michigan University, where he pursued a career in engineering, while racing for four years on the CMU Ski Team.

When he is not snow skiing, he is hunting, fishing, mountain biking or water skiing. He continues to seek the challenge of new and exciting sports in the outdoors.  Jim has been a Product Development Engineer for over 20 years in the automotive industry. However, the auto industry recently forced him to pursue his dream and focus on the outdoor industry full time.  Jim started www.huntersprostaff.com in June of 2006 which has grown steadily as a service based website for the hunting community.   He has 3 outdoor related patents and many more in the works.  Most importantly, he is committed to introducing as many children and first time people to new adventures in the outdoors.  “I just love to see families spending time together in the outdoors. It is so refreshing to see the sparkle in a young child’s eyes, as they enjoy something physical, like skiing, mountain biking or hunting.  Our children are losing the thrill of reality to virtual electronic media and it upsets me! I am on a crusade to change that!”

Blake Wollenberg

Hunters Pro Gear is co-owned by another radical outdoorsman, Blake Wollenberg of Erie, Colorado.  Blake is 27 years old and when he talks to you about the outdoors, particularly, hunting and fishing, you immediately know he lives, eats, and breathes for every moment spent in nature!  Blake brings the youthful passion and insight that is needed to introduce our younger clients to the outdoors.  Blake is a graduate of the Colorado Outdoor Adventure Guide School.  He has diplomas in Big Game Guiding and Outfitting, as well as, fly-fish guiding.  He has accomplished more in the last 5 years as a hunter, than most have in a lifetime. Blake has had a great opportunity to travel and hunt in many remote places in the world, including Africa and he has some great trophies to show.

In 2007, Blake started www.bustinoutwithblake.com which is a service based website, specializing in professional videography, photography, guiding and guide referrals.  He recently married his lovely wife, Katy. According to co-owner Jim Lombardi, “Blake is a refreshing addition to Hunters Pro Gear.  I know he will keep me on my toes and he will provide youthful inspiration to me as we think of better ways to serve our clients.  I knew he was going to be a good partner when he woke me up with the hotel ironing board at the Archery Trade Association show. Needless to say, there was a UFC brawl, a busted ironing board and some blood, but we were on time and excited to greet our customers at the booth!”

Professional Fisherman: All Species, Fresh water and Saltwater. Walleye and In-land fishing expert.

Professional Bow-Fisherman: Many tournament wins and thousands of pounds of fish taken by bow fishing. 

Professional Outdoor Videographer: Filmed for several outdoor TV shows and production DVD's.

Bio:

Jed brings years of practical experience and equipment knowledge to the Hunters Pro Gear team.  His resume is filled with vast accomplishments on land and water.   Jed is an exceptional outdoorsman and has over 20 years of experience in outdoor equipment and retail merchandising. Furthermore, Jed has spent several years working as a professional cameraman, traveling the world, filming hunts for shows seen on many outdoor channels.  Recently, he joined the Hunters Prostaff Team and Extreme Dimensions Wildlife Calls to produce one of the best Predator DVD's on the market today! Hunters Pro Gear is pleased to have such an accomplished individual on board.  Jed has 2 fantastic children; Mackenzie and Cody and a very supportive wife, Kim.  He recently introduced his lovely wife to hunting and fishing and now she makes most men jealous with her accomplishments.  Jed loves to help others succeed and he is always willing to share his secrets and knowledge to benefit other outdoors fanatics.
